ACA - Applied fat loss

  • Manchester Conference Centre Sackville Street England United Kingdom (map)

Description from site:
In part one of the Applied Fat Loss seminar we’ll examine the scientific rationale behind successful fat loss strategies. We’ll discuss the physiological and hormonal effects of a calorie deficit on the body, the influence of obesity on reward-motivated behaviour and the impact of adaptive thermogenesis, more commonly known as “starvation mode”, on our declining metabolic rate.

In part two we put the theory into practice. We’ll learn how to perform an accurate needs analysis using the seminal work of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs. Appreciating that food is more than just calories and macros (to most), we’ll explore the contextual cues that form the subconscious behaviours that misalign with our fat loss goals. We’ll then put together an actionable strategy to break these counterproductive habits, leaving delegates with a thorough understanding of how to apply this newfound knowledge.

Over the course of the day, you will learn how to perform an accurate needs analysis for your clients and how this translates into the necessary and actionable strategies.

Delegates will leave with a thorough understanding of how to take theoretical science to practice.
